REINVENT YOUR BUSINESS STRATEGY.

In this 2-day course, you will learn how to help your organization disrupt itself before anyone else does by exploring strategy, mission, and innovation and how they interact. Develop the knowledge and skills necessary to lead a more agile organization and respond successfully to change in customers during increasingly disruptive times. This course will help you to:

  • Build knowledge and expertise through activities and real-world case studies of organizations that have been successful in reinventing strategy and mission, and also analyze organizations that have not been as successful 

  • Understand how the traditional elements of organizational focus (mission, strategy, plans, and execution) must be reinvented for today’s rapidly changing world, and how the mindset you develop can help separate your organization from the pack

  • Develop an action plan to get started reinventing your own business strategy

What you will learn

  • “Define It” – Define strategy and mission and discuss your successes and challenges today; discuss the Five Forces of Strategy and how each is being disrupted in your organization; and discuss implications of theses disruptions

  • “Learn It” – Define innovation as a repeatable business discipline; participate in interactive exercises to solve a problem using design thinking, a human-centered approach to innovation

  • “Experience It” – Understand how empathy, prototyping, and iteration have been and can be applied in relation to strategy, with interactive exercises and real-world case studies

  • "Apply It" – Apply the lessons learned to your specific situation and organization; assess your own organization’s capability on innovation, strategy, and mission

  • Scott Sanchez is the product innovation officer of Deluxe Corporation and has extensive experience in innovation, product management and design. He also has a history of making simple, yet impactful products and experiences that delight customers.

    He also serves as an adjunct faculty member for Emory Executive Education at Goizueta Business School. He has brought a customer-driven approach to innovation to organizations of all sizes across many industries to help invent and reinvent products and experiences to create sustainable growth, while unleashing innovators along the way.
