Structured Problem Solving teaches methods for solving messy, unstructured challenges with no clear “right answer”. You will emerge with expertise managing the process of problem solving in a structured manner, from framing the problem to communicating a compelling case for action. This online course will help you to:

  • Develop and understand a model that can be applied to problems of varying levels of complexity to deliver results
  • Elevate your abilities to uncover the source and solutions for challenges in your organization
  • Uncover insights into problem definition and analysis that lead to clear answers and provide a clear plan of action

What you will learn

  • Understand the need for a structured approach to problem solving and recognize the underlying principles that enable effective work
  • Create alignment on the problem to be solved, identify the actual issues to be addressed and structure them into a hierarchy that enables focused work
  • Build a plan for working through issues identified to reduce ambiguity and identify sources of information and input
  • Develop an action plan for implementing this structured approach appropriately for your organization’s context
